USDT on TON vs native TON — they are not the same asset

This is TON's version of the ETH-vs-ERC20 distinction, and it's worth getting straight before your first deposit.

Native TON is the chain's base coin — the equivalent of ETH on Ethereum or BNB on BNB Chain. Its price floats with the market. You pay on-chain gas in native TON. Deep Poker accepts native TON as a separate deposit option (see the full crypto list).

USDT on TONis a Jetton — TON's token standard, the equivalent of ERC20 on Ethereum. It's Tether-issued USDT that happens to live on the TON blockchain. 1 USDT is always $1, regardless of which chain carries it. When a wallet says "USDT TON" or "USDT Jetton," they mean the same thing.

On Deep Poker's deposit screen, USDT on TON and native TON are two separate options. Don't confuse them — they route to different internal addresses. Pick USDT if you want stable-dollar exposure, pick native TON if you want the chain's floating asset.

TON addresses 101 — EQ, UQ, and the memo question

TON address encoding is a little different from Ethereum or TRON. Two quirks worth knowing, both of which modern wallets handle invisibly.

EQ addresses (bounceable)

An EQ-prefixed address is "bounceable" — if the destination contract can't accept the specific transfer (wrong contract type, inactive account), the funds return to the sender automatically. Most wallets default to EQ for smart-contract addresses because it's the safer choice.

UQ addresses (non-bounceable)

A UQ-prefixed address is "non-bounceable" — the transfer stays at the destination even if something unexpected happens. Some wallets use UQ for regular wallet-to-wallet transfers. You can convert between EQ and UQ freely: they represent the same underlying account, just with different routing rules.

Does it matter which one Deep shows me?

Not in practice. Deep Poker's deposit screen displays whichever form is appropriate for Jetton deposits, and every serious TON wallet (Telegram @wallet, Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet) understands both. Copy what Deep shows. Don't manually rewrite EQ as UQ or vice versa.

When the memo/comment field matters

Some operators use shared TON addresses with a memo (comment) to route deposits to the right user account. If Deep Poker's deposit screen displays a memo field — a short code or string alongside the address — you must copy it into your wallet's memo field too. Skipping the memo in that case means the deposit lands at Deep's address but doesn't get attributed to your account.

If Deep's deposit screen shows no memo field — only an address — then skip the memo entirely. Adding one where none is expected rarely causes trouble, but read the deposit screen literally. What Deep asks for is what the deposit needs.

TON vs TRC20 vs BEP20 — when does TON win?

Short answer: whenever your USDT already lives in a Telegram wallet or any TON-native wallet, or when you want the single fastest deposit Deep Poker supports.

How to deposit USDT on TON to Deep Poker

Six steps. The whole process is fast enough that most players finish it in the time it takes to rejoin a table.

1. Create your Deep Poker account.

   Go to deep.poker/register. Email plus password is the entire signup. No phone number, no KYC, no identity upload. Under a minute from click to deposit screen.

2. Open the USDT TON deposit screen.

   In your Deep Poker panel, click Deposit, choose USDT, then choose the TON network. Deep shows you a TON deposit address (starting with EQ or UQ) and a QR code. If Deep's screen shows a memo/comment field, copy that exactly — you'll need both the address and the memo.

3. Copy the TON address (and memo, if shown).

   Copy the full address exactly — 48 characters including the EQ or UQ prefix. Never type it by hand. If Deep's screen displayed a memo, copy that too; some TON-side wallets have a separate field for it.

Network fees on TON, explained honestly

TON's fee model is closer to "too cheap to meter" than to anything you've seen on Ethereum. Worth understanding once.

From a self-custody wallet: ~0.02–0.05 TON in gas

A USDT Jetton transfer on TON consumes roughly 0.02–0.05 TON in gas. At typical TON prices, that works out to 2–10 cents per transfer. You need a small amount of native TON in the same wallet to pay — 0.1 TON is plenty for dozens of transfers.

From Telegram @wallet: covered silently

Telegram's built-in wallet covers the gas cost and charges you in USDT as part of the transfer. You see a single number, you confirm, the money moves. No "you need TON for gas" dialog. This is the single easiest USDT send experience in crypto.

From an exchange: typically under 1 USDT flat

Binance, Bybit, and OKX charge a flat withdrawal fee for TON — usually under 1 USDT, sometimes promotional zero-fee. Exchange fees cover the chain cost and a small operator margin. You pay in USDT, not in native TON.

Deep Poker's platform fee: zero

Whatever USDT lands in Deep's TON address lands in your Deep balance — no platform deduction on top. The only fee is the chain cost (or the sending operator's flat fee).

Confirmation times — 5–15 seconds, faster than any other Deep rail

TON's architecture (masterchain + workchains) gives it near-instant finality once the masterchain commits a transaction. In practice: you send, and within roughly 5–15 seconds the transaction is final and irreversible.

For comparison: TRC20 takes 1–3 minutes typically. BEP20 takes about a minute. Bitcoin mainnet can take 30+ minutes. TON is the outlier on the fast end.

Troubleshooting the common TON problems

I sent native TON instead of USDT Jetton

These are different assets on the same chain. Deep Poker's USDT TON deposit address and native TON deposit address are two different internal routes — sending the wrong asset to the wrong address means the funds land somewhere Deep's USDT crediting job won't see. Contact Deep Poker support with your TXID; recovery is usually possible but requires manual routing.

My Jetton wallet didn't show my USDT after a recent deposit

Some older TON wallets don't auto-detect new Jettons. If your wallet supports USDT but shows a zero balance after a transfer you can see on Tonviewer, you may need to manually add the USDT Jetton contract to your wallet's token list. Tonkeeper and Telegram @wallet handle this automatically; older wallets may not.

"Insufficient TON for fees" error in my self-custody wallet

Your wallet has USDT but no native TON for gas. Buy a small amount of native TON — 0.1 TON is enough for dozens of transfers — and try again. Native TON is available on almost every exchange and inside @wallet.

Tonviewer shows confirmed, Deep balance hasn't updated

Wait five minutes. If the transaction shows as committed on tonviewer.com and your Deep balance still hasn't moved after 30 minutes, open a support ticket with your TXID and your Deep account email.

I forgot the memo field when Deep's screen showed one

The transaction landed at Deep's TON address but wasn't attributed to your account. Contact Deep Poker support with the TXID and your Deep account email — with the memo code in hand, the operator can manually credit the deposit. This is the single most common reason deposits require manual intervention on TON.

Someone on Telegram offered to "help" with the deposit
